By using StayClose, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We promise simplicity, clarity, and full transparency.
2. Information We Collect
We minimize data collection to the absolute essentials. We do not track your location, your other apps, or your web history. We only collect:
- Temporary Room CodesEphemeral, single-use codes to securely link your device with your partner.
- Mutual Game HistoryEncrypted logs of your game interactions, wishes, and milestones shared only between you and your partner.
- Account CredentialsSecure login metadata used purely for authentication and cross-device syncing.
3. Space Privacy
Our mantra is simple: What happens in StayClose stays in StayClose.
All interaction data is stored in isolated containers accessible only through your unique relationship ID. We do not have visual access to your private captures or mutual notes.
4. Data Retention
You own your mutual connection. If you choose to delete your account, your personal data — including your name, credentials, and any directly identifying information — will be permanently deleted within 7 working days of your request.
After deletion, we retain anonymised activity data (such as game interactions and usage patterns) linked only to a randomly generated identifier — never to you. This data helps us understand how couples use StayClose and allows us to improve the experience for everyone.
We do not sell your personal data or your activity data to any third party, ever.
